About Us
Erie Together is a group of residents who care about Erie.
Erie is growing and changing quickly. Decisions being made today about oil & gas, growth, water, open space, public safety, development, and local government will shape our community for years to come. We believe Erie residents should understand those decisions and have a meaningful voice in them.
Erie Together is a community-based 501(c)(4) organization focused on education, civic engagement, and advocacy. We help residents understand local issues, learn how our town government works, and find ways to participate in the decisions affecting our community.
That can mean bringing Town staff and residents together for a conversation about Erie's water future, helping people understand what it takes to run for Town Council, breaking down a complicated local issue, encouraging residents to attend a meeting or speak up when an important decision is being made, or advocating for policies we believe will strengthen Erie.
We also believe healthy communities need thoughtful people willing to lead. Erie Together works to encourage civic participation and develop local leadership so residents from across our community have the knowledge and confidence to get involved.
Erie is made up of many unique individuals and we don’t always completely align. Our goal is to encourage respectful discussion, provide clear, factual information, help more people participate in shaping Erie's future, and move Erie forward together.
Erie Together is made up of Erie residents who believe an informed and engaged community makes for a stronger town.
